Diaper Savings

February 11th, 2008 at 01:13 pm

I have always been told by my close friends that warehouse stores are the best place to find "cheap" diapers. I do appreciate their advice but I decided to do my own research.
I received a Babyrus sales flyer in the mail and they were having a diaper sale (on their store brand.) I did the math and for what we needed we ended up paying 8 cents a diaper. The warehouse prices for diapers are at the lowest are around 11 cents. The quality has been great and no leaks!
I eneded up buying 5 boxes hoping that will last me until the next sale. It feels good to save money on something that I use so frequently.

It pays to be kind.

It's amazing how much value a compliment can be to someone. My husband and I went out for dinner at a nice Italian place here in Columbus. During our dining experience our waitress worked really hard to deliver great service and she was espeically attentive to our toddler. She went above and beyond to make our experience a wonderful one. For anyone that has young children you can understand that dining out is usually more stressful than enjoyable. I used to work in the food service industry and so I knew that once we left and went home this particular girl deserved a compliment.
I went to the companies website and wrote a wonderful review. I felt good about giving her the credit and praise from that night. About two weeks later I recieved a letter in the mail from the general manager thanking me for my nice message and he gave me a $ 50.00 giftcard to the restaurant. He stated that many times customers don't give feedback and when they do it's usually negative feedback. I felt really grateful for this special surprise.
Does this mean every time you give feedback you will get free money? Probably not but just knowing that I gave credit where credit was due was enough for me. The giftcard was just the icing on the cake.
